OUR FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEMS PRODUCT
The fire-extinguishing systems most commonly used to protect rotating machines in the power generation and oil and gas sectors, in which Sistemi Industriali primarily operates (gas turbines, compressors, diesel and gas engines) are gas systems and water-mist systems. Sistemi Industriali produces and supplies both through the integration of specific components and services for industrial customers.
Water-mist systems are special fire protection systems capable of delivering very fine water spray intended to control, suppress, or extinguish fires. They can use compressed gas or a high pressure pump to deliver water through spray nozzles, which creates a very effective mist against fires, in particular on board ships and in off-shore applications, where the amount of water is limited and it is crucial to have a fast extinguishing performance. The system is normally equipped with the necessary valves, strainers and instrumentation for operation, maintenance and testing purposes, even in ATEX execution. We can offers custom designs to perfectly meet specific project requirements,especially for oil and gas applications to protect gas turbines, compressors, generators, with the water-mist system provided as a pre-tested package in a special stainless steel cabinet or container.
The flexible passive fire protection system is a high-performance solution designed to meet the most demanding requirements when protecting critical flow and process equipment from hydrocarbon pool fire. The flexible protection system with blankets offers up to 120 minutes' fire protection and can be used for valves, actuator, process tanks, control panels, cable-ways and any other equipment in industrial plants that requires fire protection. Each system is specifically designed to perfectly adapt to the equipment requiring protection. It consists of a removable, compact and easy-to-assemble enclosure made with pre-formed blankets that are designed to fit together around the equipment. Each blanket is made up of layers of compressed insulating fiber studded with nylon pins across the entire panel area. The exterior is covered with a weather-resistant textile layer.
